Westport is located in Essex County between Wadhams and Port Henry on Highway 22 east of Elizabethtown in the Northern Region of the state.
Westpot was the birthplace of the Adirondack chair which was fashioned by Thomas Lee in 1903. Well-known residents have included Mary Emma Woolley, educator.
