Woodlawn Beach State Park, the newest park in the region, has a lovely, natural sand beach nearly a mile long and panoramic views of Lake Erie. In addition to swimming, visitors can windsurf, birdwatch, play volleyball and sunbathe. The park has a playground for children as well. Directions: On Lake Erie, off Route 5 in Hamburg, which is south of Buffalo.
