Cumberland is located in eastern Ohio in southwestern Guernsey County about 65 miles east of Columbus and 15 miles east-southeast of Zanesville. Wolf Run Lake and Wolf Run State Park are less than 10 miles southeast of town and Cutler Lake, Blue Rock State Forest and Blue Rock State Park are about 15 miles to the west. Larger Senecaville Lake is located about 15 miles to the northeast.
