Danville is located in central Ohio in eastern
Knox County about 45 miles northeast of
Columbus and 10 miles east-northeast of
Mt. Vernon, the county seat. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,007, an increase of 6 since 1990.
If outdoor activities is your thing, Danville is within miutes of Knox Lake and the Kokosing River to the west, the Walhonding River to the south and the Mohican River to the east. In addition, Mohican State Park and the Mohican State Forest are about 15 miles north of town.
