Garrettsville is located in northeastern Ohio in northeastern Portage County
30 miles southeast of Cleveland
near the Grand River and Hiram College. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,084, an increase of 70 since 1990.
Area recreation includes trips to Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park, 5 miles northeast of town and West Branch State Park 10 miles to the south as well as fishing on the Cuyahoga River. In addition, Sugar Bush Golf Club is open to the public and is enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels.
History aficionados will want to tour the old Garretts Mill in town.
