Greenfield is located in southwestern Ohio in northeastern Highland County about 60 miles east-northeast of Cincinnati and 15 miles northeast of Hillsboro, the county seat. Rocky Fork Lake and Rocky Fork State Park 10 miles to the south provide excellent outdoor recreational opportunities. Smaller Point Creek Lake is just 5 miles south of town. Buckeye Hills Country Club is a semi-private club with an open guest policy and the town invites golfers to challenge the 18-hole layout.
