Hocking Hills State Park

The park, located about 50 miles southeast of Coloumbus, features towering cliffs, waterfalls and deep hemlock-shaded gorges which lure the hiker and naturalist and serve as a backdrop to popular facilities in the lush surroundings.

The dining lodge contains a restaurant, meeting rooms, TV lounge, game room, snack bar and an outside swimming pool. In addition to the facilities at the lodge, the park offers 40 cabins and about 160 camping sites with electricity.

There are miles of trails located throughout the park and adjacent state forest. These trails are the inspiration for the annual "Hit the Trail" hike from Old Man's Cave to Ash Cave (about a six-mile trek) in mid-January and is done to promote a "Healthy Ohio."
