Upper Valley Medical Center (UVMC) is a not-for-profit health care system serving the health care needs of Miami County and the surrounding area. The health care system features a state-of-the-art acute care hospital: the Upper Valley Medical Center, which opened in June 1998. Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services are provided with a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services and behavioral health care programs. The UVMC system also includes three long-term care centers and an insurance company specializing in serving the health insurance needs of employers in Miami and the surrounding counties.
