Millersburg is located in northeastern Ohio in Holmes County (of which it is the county seat) about 60 miles northeast of Columbus along Highway 83 and 39 on the banks of Killbuck Creek. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,812, an increase of 761 since 1990.

Outdoor recreation is just minutes away at Pleasant Hill Lake, Mohican State Park and the Mohican Memorial Staet Forest about 20 miles west of town.

Black Diamond Golf Course, a relatively new layout built in 2000 and Fire Ridge Golf Course, built in 1930, compliment each other and offer golfers 2 challenging venues. Both are public 18-hole facilities.
