Oak Harbor

Oak Harbor is located in northwestern Ohio in Ottawa County about 20 miles southeast of Toledo and 10 miles west of Port Clinton on the banks of the Portage River.

Veterans Memorial Park on the east side of town boasts a softball diamond, 3 little league diamonds, a concession stand, 2 full-size basketball courts and 3 half-court basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, a sledding hill, a roller blade/ice skating rink, playground equipment and 2 "tot lots" for preschool-aged children. Two rest rooms are also on the premises.

Nearby recreation includes trips to Crane Creek State Park 10 miles north of town on the shores of Lake Erie, Catawba Island State Park about 15 miles east-northeast and East Harbor State Park about 20 miles to the east. In addition, a walk through the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area is always a treat for nature lovers and a great experience for children.

For golfers, Oak Harbor Golf Club offers the public an 18-hole course of 6,500 yards which plays to a par of 72.
