This leading college of liberal arts and sciences was founded in 1833 as the nation's first coeducational college. Between 1835 and 1910, the college awarded degrees to more African-American students than the rest of the predominantly white colleges in the nation combined.
Oberlin's renowned Conservatory of Music presents concerts, both ticketed and free, throughout the year. Free tours of the 2,800 student campus are available. Arrange a tour Monday through Saturday during the academic year at the admisions office in the Carnegie Building on North Professor Street.
