Painesville

Painesville is located in northeast Ohio in Lake County (of which it is the county seat) 25 miles northeast of Cleveland and 2 miles inland from Lake Erie. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,611, a decrease of 98 since 1990.

Quail Hollow Resort & Country Club offers golfers a chance to play two unique 18-hole courses. One was co-designed by PGA golfer Tom Weiskopf, the other by Bruce Devlin. Fairway Pines Golf Course and Painesville Country Club offer the public access to their 18-hole layouts while The Casement Club features a public 9-hole facility.

History buffs will wan to take in the Indian Museum of Lake County.
