Tallmadge is located in northeastern Ohio in Summit County on Akron's northeast city limits. On the cusp between urban and rural settings, the city is just minutes west of Lake Rockwell, Lake Hodgson and Muzzy Lake while larger Michael J. Kirwin Lake and West Branch State Park lie about 15 miles to the east.
