Gene Autry is located in south central Oklahoma in northeast Carter County along SR 53 about 5 miles east of Interstate 35 and U.S. 77. Named for the famous star of movie westerns, the town is northeast of Ardmore near the Washita River. Local attractions include the Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum.
