Located in northeastern Oklahoma in Delaware County near Honey Creek State Park. Self-guided tours through over 100 buildings furnished with items and artifacts that recreate Oklahoma circa 1900 (and before). The village started taking shape in 1968 when Harvey Jones built his bride a church on the shores of the Grand Lake O' the Cherokees.
Exhibits and structures include the church fronted by an Italian statue of Christ with out-stetched arms, a log cabin for the preacher and his family, a on-room schoolhouse, the mayor's house (the oldest in the village), a steam engine used at a saw mill, a doll and glass house, a drug store with soda fountain, a barber shop, the Stagecoach Inn, a courthouse and a hanging gallows, to name just a few.
Open daily March thru November. Closed Thanksgiving. Handicapped accessible; motorcoach parking. Donations accepted.
