Hydro is located in west central Oklahoma in Caddo County abutting the Blaine County along SR 58 about 5 miles east of Weatherford and 3 miles southwest of the Canadian River. Crowder Lake State Park provides the area outdoor recreation and is located about 15 miles southwest of town.The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 928, a decrease of 49 since 1990.
