The Little River is located in southeastern Oklahoma and rises in the Kiamichi Mountains in
Le Flore County flowing first to the west and then to the south emptying into
Pine Creek Lake from the north and exiting in the south. It turns easterly and flows through the
Little River National Wildlife Refuge before crossing the Arkansas state line.
