The Will Rogers Memorial Museum, which opened in 1938, is a (nearly) 17,000 square-foot limestone structure housing memorabilia, artifacts, photographs and manuscripts by or about the famed "Cowboy Comic." It is located in northeastern Oklahoma in Claremore.
Included in the impressive layout are nine galleries, three theaters showing any of his 71 movies, a saddle collection of the skilled roper and showman, a children's museum and a 2,400 square-foot library containg 2,000 volumes, 15,000 photographs and miscellaneous trinkets.
Open year round from 8am to 5 pm. Contributions are accepted.
