The Black Bear Camp is a quiet wilderness four season lodge located on the north shore of beautiful Birch Lake. They have ten log and frame cabins and 35 family campsites. Log and frame cabins are fully equipped for housekeeping, dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, propane stove with oven, fridge with top freezer, wood stove for heat (wood supplied), coffee pot, toaster, running cold well water, inside port potties plus private clean outhouse, table and chairs, beds, fire pit and picnic table, and a central shower building with hot and cold water. Churches, restaurant and shops are nearby. Area attractions are Dom tar Paper Mill, Museum, Manitoulin Island, and IMAX theatre. Skiing, wind surfing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, biking, fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking are the area activities.
