The original site, established in 1967, was on two acres exhibiting mainly birds and reptiles. Over the years, the zoo has grown to include more than 300 animals from countries around the world, such as Australia, South America, Africa and Asia. Also featured are a playground, walking trails and a pony ride. Food and picnic facilities are available.
