The Fort Frances Museum and Cultural Center are located downtown on Scott Street in the heart of Voyageur Village. Exhibits on local history range from early Native life to industrial development. During the summer months the upstairs gallery displays local arts and crafts, and provides newcomers with a history of Fort Frances. The Museum building itself, built in 1898, was originally a public school, and is one of the town's oldest buildings.
