This is the site of Canada's first re-created native village. The village represents Canadas beginnings with the lifestyle of these people prior to the arrival of the Europeans. Visitors are invited to close their eyes and travel back 500 years and try to imagine life behind palisade walls, longhouses, lookout towers and Native games. Examine the extensive archaeological collections inside the museum dating back over 10,000 years and visit the art gallery featuring local artists including W.J . Wood, Franz Johnston and A.Y. Jackson.
