The site features two historic buildings, an 1816 log house and an 1859 stone school house, both fully restored. The Fry House features hearth cooking and spinning/weaving demonstrations. At the head of the laneway is the Heritage House, currently being refurbished to house exhibits and research facilities. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic, hike down the stairs along the Waterfront Trail extension, wander the museum grounds, or join a tour of the area.
