Niagara River

One of the shortest and wildest rivers in the world at 58km(36mi). Its rapids reach speeds of 48km(30mi) per hour. The river carries drainage from the upper Great Lakes into Lake Ontario and results in spectacular 12,000-year-old waterfalls. A bridge over the river connects the sister cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario in Canada and Niagara Falls, New York in the U.S.
