This restored 1850 waterworks plant houses the great John Inglis pumping engine built in Toronto, Ontario and accepted by the City of Kingston, March 1897. At 43 revolutions per minute (RPM)it could pump 5,000,000 imperial gallons of water in 24 hours. Displays tell of the role that steam played in the 19th century.
