St. James Garrison Church-on-the-Lines

Search Penetanguishene Ontario

This circa 1836 Anglican church is extremely well preserved; a bell removed from an American schooner sunk during the War of 1812 highlights the structure, which provided area settlers and military personnel with a place to hold worship services. The church is open daily from Victoria Day through Thanksgiving. Public admitted to the site at no charge.
