In 1862, the woollen mill industrialist William Barber ordered the construction of his lovely brick residence at Barbertown and Mississauga Roads. Today the Barber Home still stands on its original site as The Old Barber House. They serve Continental cuisine. Private dining rooms can accommodate 10 to 60 people.
