Adel

The small town of Adel is located in Lake County east of Klamath Falls on Highway 140. Goose Lake and Hart Lake are nearby. There is also an Adel, Georgia.

On June 3, 1968, Adel suffered from 4.7 magnitude tremor caused by a prior series earthquake in area.

This community is situated on Deep Creek, just south of Pelican Lake, and has a landing strip available.

One tradition says that Adel was named for a former sweetheart of an early landowner. Another says it is the backward spelling of Leda, a beloved local cow.
