Rockaway Bird Watching
Open fields surrounding Tillamook are excellent birding, especially when very wet in the winter.

The inland lakes and ponds around Rockaway Beach to the north and along the highway back toward Tillamook sport many ducks and herons, but- for all but the most avid birder- the cheese factory 1.5 miles north of Tillamook may be the next stop.
