The Alsea Day-Use Park can be reached by turning east at the signal in Waldport. Stop along the Alsea Bay and expect to see western grebes, common loons and sometimes canvas backs. A few miles up the
Alsea River you will reach Eckman Lake. This coastal lake is a great place for wintering ducks and migrateing geese in the spring.
