Stop by William Tugman State Park located on Eel Lake. It is surrounded by grass and is easily accessible. The lake is not usually as crowded as the others on the ocean side of the highway.Tenmile Lakes size and many arms are home to many wintering ducks and an occasional bald eagle. Ospreys are seen in summer. Other than Tenmile County Park, there is little road access to the perimeter of the lake. Boats can be rented there, and that is usually the best way to see the lake. Saunders Lake Boat Ramp allows public access to a small lake with a smattering of houses around it. Not usually too many people around. Best birding would be with a boat.
