Clay Myers State Park

Clay Myers State Natural Area at Whalen Island is bounded by the Sand Creek estuary - critically valuable habitat for salmon. The area is a virtually untouched coastal estauarine ecosystem, with mixed woodlands, grasslands, fresh and saltwater wetlands, and a rare native dune sedgeland.

The park is fairly new to Oregon's park system, and was named after Clay Myers, Oregon's Secretary of State and State Treasurer.
