The Cape Meares Lighthouse, one of the highlight of the
Three Capes Scenic Loop, stands in
Cape Meares State Park, 10 miles west of
Tillamook and
Highway 101. Although it shines 217 feet above the ocean, its 38-foot tower is the shortest on the Oregon Coast.
Trails lead from the main parking area to the lighthouse and viewpoints overlooking offshore inlets inhabited by Steller sea lions and nesting seabirds.
