The Cape Meares Lighthouse, one of the highlight of the <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/t/threecap.htm">Three Capes Scenic Loop</a>, stands in <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/c/cmearesp.htm">Cape Meares State Park</a>, 10 miles west of <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/t/tillamoo.htm">Tillamook</a> and <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/h/hwy101.htm">Highway 101</a>. Although it shines 217 feet above the ocean, its 38-foot tower is the shortest on the Oregon Coast.<P>Trails lead from the main parking area to the lighthouse and viewpoints overlooking offshore inlets inhabited by Steller sea lions and nesting seabirds.<P>    <P>
