Cold Springs Trail passes through a series of dry meadows separated by stands of Shasta red fir. Wildflowers are abundant in early summer. One mile from the trailhead is Paul Bunyan's grave, which is marked with a large pile of loose rocks and a sign. The trail is open for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, and is accessible May through October. For more information and directions, contact the
