Dead Cow Trail runs from the northwest end of Dead Horse Lake down the Dead Cow drainage to Dead Horse Rim Trail. The Dead Cow drainage is full of wildflowers in June and July. Some aspen trees along the route bear dated carvings from early sheepherders that date back over 100 years.
