The Deschutes River Trail is a series of three parallel trails through pine forests and lava flows along the Deschutes River. These separate trails were built for hikers, horses, and bicycles. The trail has four sections that are wheelchair accessible. There are several access points to the Deschutes River Trail - from Benham Falls Picnic Area, and several trailheads off Forest Rd 41, which is seven miles west of Bend.
