Oakridge. Also situated along the banks of the Middle Fork Willamette River and Dexter Reseroir.
The Lost Valley Intentional Community is a popular attraction within the Dexter area.
Originally called Butte Disappointment, it was renamed Dexter in 1875, to commemorate the "Dexter" brand cookstove of the first postmaster.
