Year-round camping is available at Duncan Reservoir, 5 miles south of nearby Hwy 31. The reservoir, a popular spot for ice fishing and hunting, holds a 120-acre lake stocked with rainbow trout and provides picnic tables and fire pits at each of its five juniper-shaded campsites.
Even though the reservoir is at the 5,000-foot level, snow doesn't stick around long because of the strong winds that can whisk through the area.
