Hares Canyon State Park will be Oregon's first new state park in over 32 years, and will be completed by 2007. The 1,755 acre park will be situated near Buxton in Washington County, and will include part of the Banks-Vernonia State Trail. Camping, picnicking, and hiking will be offered.
