Howling Acres Wolf Sanctuary

The wolves of Howling Acres come mainly from referrals by veterinarians, other sanctuaries and state or federal agencies. Here they are kept in low-density groups, on the wooded hillsides of southern Oregon. Sherrie & Charlie LaBat and their staff demonstrate the reverence and love for these wild creatures. They provide a nurturing environment in which the wolf can regain strength and health. All this while learning to trust and thrive on the caring attention s/he will always receive there.

Howling Acres strives to show the public the true nature and plight of the wolf, in captivity, at release and in the wild. Our ancestors learned well from wolves and so can we if we will but open our eyes and hearts to a much older and deeper wisdom.
