Warner Pacific College is a Christian liberal arts college, affiliated with the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana), is located next to the 195-acre, tree-covered Mt. Tabor Park in southeast
Portland. Founded in 1937, the college has for over 60 years trained students in careers of service.
Among the eight Departments is Health and Human Kinetics. Major fields of study in this Depratment include: Exercise Science, for those students intending to continue their studies toward careers in physical therapy, sports medicine, research, college education, etc.; Health Fitness Management, which combines fundamental Business coursework with additional fitness training and Teacher Education, preparing students for licensure to teach Physical Education at either the K-8 or 5-12 levels.
WPC is in Multnomah County and has an enrollment about 700.
