Visitors to this 15 acre park in southeast Portland are encouraged to wander through more than a mile of trails to view a collection of botanical plants and trees. Most of the plant collection at the garden is native to the Pacific Northwest, although there are also m any types of shrubs and trees native to Asia and the southeastern part of the United States.
Leach Botanical Garden specializes in preserving the original Leach collection, as well as introducing Northwest native plants through educational programs, community involvement, and conservation.
