Search Visit Oregon

Little Lava Lake is a small, forest lake about 1/2 mile south of Big Lava Lake, and is the source of the mighty Deschutes River. The 130-acre lake supports populations of rainbow trout, brook trout, whitefish, and tui chub. The state record brook trout was taken from the river just below the lake in 1980.
