The John S. Love House, constructed around 1867, is a wood frame structure, one and one half stories in height, originally built on a T plan. Two additions have been added to the rear (west) of the house. At present the house is a medium gold color with details in both white and a darker gold. The architect and builder are not known. The major design charcteristics are Classic Revival. Many Historic Houses have been preserved throughout Oregon.
