On Timothy Lake. From Portland, drive east on Hwy 26 fifty-five miles to Government Camp, then southeast fifteen miles, then eight miles south on Forest Service Road 42. Park and hike one mile in, or boat in. There are Four boat-in or walk-in tent sites with picnic tables and fire grills. Pit toilets provided, but no piped water. Boat docks and launching facilities. Leashed pets okay. Open late May to mid-September. No reservations. No fee. For more information, contact the Zigzag Ranger District.
