Memaloose State Park is located of I-84, 11 miles west of The Dalles in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The park is directly accessible only to westbound traffic; eastbound traffic must exit 3 miles east of the park and return on the freeway to the park entrance.
The campground overlooks the Columbia River and the island local Indians used as an ancient burial ground. The park is located in the hottest part of the Columbia River Gorge, with summer temperatures topping 110 F. Facilities include 43 full RV hookup campsites, 67 tent campsites, full restroom and shower facilities, and waste water disposal station.
Recreational opportunities include hiking, fishing, and windsurfing. Max RV, 60 feet.
