Located in the Malheur and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests, the Monument Rock Wilderness extends of 19,700 acres and ranges from 5,100 to 7,815 feet in elevation. The area includes Table Rock, the headwaters of the Little Malheur River and the upper drainages of the South Fork or Burnt River. Some 15 miles of trails are maintained for hikers and backpackers.
