This 3.5 mile trail takes hikers on a journey through a temperate rainforest, which winds through stands of old growth trees along the North Fork Smith River. The trail is open year round, and is rated moderate to difficult. One half mile north of Reedsport turn east on Road 48 for 24.5 miles, turn onto Forest Road 23 for 4.5 miles to the trailhead.
