Deep-sea Pacific Ocean salmon and halibut fishing have always been popular on the coast, but conservation-restricted seasons have shifted the focus to bottom fishing (including sea trout, ling cod, snapper). Salmon and halibut fishing is still available, but varies according to seasonal regulations.
