The Lincoln County Library District provides funding to the public libraries in Lincoln City, Newport, Siletz, Toledo and Waldport. The courier service that delivers items, including items requested by library users and items belonging to one library but returned to another, between the libraries is run by the Library District.
The Library District also supports the interlibrary loan service for these libraries which makes it possible for the local libraries to request items from around the world.
The Library District provides funding for use of OCLC cataloging services and also provides professional cataloging service to the local libraries.
The Library District has also helped support a number of other smaller programs including funding for summer reading programs, the development of Stories-to-Go kits that are available at the libraries and deposit library collections at the Burnt Woods Store, the Logsden Store, the Tidewater Post Office and the Whistle Stop in Depoe Bay.
